Talk on the Guadeloupe La Première radio station

Le Centre CARO a été invité à participer à l'émission de radio « Service 1ère » de Jordan Rizzi, animateur sur la chaine Guadeloupe première, radio de service public.

L'intervention a permis de présenter le Centre CRAO et ses services, et en particulier la médiation ; de revenir sur la genèse du projet OHADAC mais aussi de mettre en avant les opportunités en matière de sécurité juridique et de développement économique que propose le Centre CARO au public guadeloupéen.

L'émission était sous forme de table ronde et les intervenants étaient les suivants :

  • Me Elisabeth Calonne, Avocate au barreau de Guadeloupe St Martin et St Barthélémy et Médiatrice, qui a partagé son expérience en matière de médiation en Guadeloupe. Elle a présenté sur les avantages pour les entrepreneurs guadeloupéens de cette technique de résolution des différends en matière commerciale et a surtout insisté sur la manière dont cet outil permet aux cocontractants de renouer le dialogue et d'apaiser les tensions.
  • Marie-Camille Pitton, Secrétaire Générale du Centre CARO a présenté le Centre CARO et le projet OHADAC. Elle a mis en avant la diversité des services en matière d'anticipation des conflits (service d'expertise et de facilitation) et de gestion des conflits (médiation et arbitrage). Elle a tenu à rappeler l'accessibilité et les coûts abordables des services CARO qui ont été élaborés en tenant compte de la particularité économique de la région Guadeloupe et de la région caribéenne.
  • Solène Balaguette, Juriste-Expert au sein du Centre CARO a apporté son expertise en matière de droit comparé au niveau de la région caribéenne. Elle a souligné l'intérêt du recours aux services CARO pour les porteurs de projets et entrepreneurs guadeloupéens désirant développer leur activité à l'international.

The CARO Centre was invited to take part in the radio programme “Service 1ère”, hosted by Jordan Rizzi, a presenter on the Guadeloupe La Première station, a public service broadcaster.

The talk offered the opportunity to introduce the CARO Centre and its services, particularly mediation; to review the genesis of the OHADAC project; and to point out the opportunities offered by the Centre to the people of Guadeloupe regarding legal security and economic development.

The programme took the form of a round table with the following speakers:

  • Elisabeth Calonne, lawyer at the Bar of Guadeloupe, St Martin and St Barthélemy and mediator, shared her experiences about mediation in Guadeloupe. She gave a presentation on the advantages of this technique for Guadeloupe's business owners for resolving disputes in commercial matters, laying particular emphasis on the way the mechanism allows co-contractors to renew dialogue and ease tensions.
  • Marie-Camille Pitton, secretary general of the CARO Centre, gave an introduction to the Centre and the OHADAC project. She highlighted the diverse array of services in conflict anticipation (expert assessment and facilitation service) and conflict management (mediation and arbitration). She made a point of reminding the audience about the accessibility and affordability of CARO's services, which have been developed to factor in the distinct economic landscape of the Guadeloupe and Caribbean regions.
  • Solène Balaguette, a legal expert at the CARO Centre, contributed her expertise in comparative law in the Caribbean region. She underlined the benefits of using CARO's services for Guadeloupean project leaders and business owners who are keen to develop their activities on the international stage.
