On July 11, 2025, the CARO Regional Arbitration Centre officially launched the OHADAC-CARO Project in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, as part of the INTERREG Caribbean 2021-2027 program.

This strategic EU program aims to strengthen cooperation and regional integration across Caribbean territories by supporting joint initiatives in sustainable development, innovation, and institutional capacity building.

The OHADAC-CARO project aligns perfectly with these goals, striving to position the Caribbean as a regional hub for international dispute resolution through accessible, multilingual, and locally adapted services in facilitation, mediation, and arbitration.

The launch also marked the announcement of new strategic partnerships, notably with:

• The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS)
• The French Development Agency (AFD)

The event showcased several CARO Centre initiatives, including its contributions to the SCBC project led by the Martinique Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIM) through project mediation (facilitation) and expert advisory services.

Presentations highlighted CARO's role in dispute prevention and resolution using real-life examples from the Caribbean economic context.

The event brought together a wide audience, both in person and online via videoconference.
